Today marks the 54th birthday of Star Trek.
From that point, the world changed. People could see a world where equality was not only achievable but was guaranteed. That is increasingly important in this turbulent and unsettling times. We live out what future historians will consider to hopefully be a turning point in humanities history, where we finally say enough is enough and we will no longer accept or allow hate on the basis of race, age, creed, gender or sexual preference, and accept that Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations means we are all welcome to the table.
“We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return; we will be with our friends again, we will be with our families again; we will meet again.”Now it may seem that it is dark now, but the darkest night always comes before the Dawn.
Hopefully we can make a world better than the one we have, and we can have that future without having to go through a nuclear war.
